Temperature and humidity affect how a coating cures — here's how Indiana's seasons actually factor into scheduling your installation.
Yes, but less than most homeowners assume, because we install indoors in a controlled garage environment rather than on an open driveway. The ideal application range is roughly 50–90°F for both ambient air and slab temperature. Attached garages usually stay within that range nearly year-round in Indiana, since they're semi-conditioned by the house next to them.
Our highest-demand season, since everyone wants their garage finished before summer. Booking runs 3–6 weeks out during this window. Humidity also starts climbing through spring, which is exactly why we test moisture vapor emission on every slab, in every season.
Warm ambient temperatures mean the fastest cure times of the year, but central Indiana also hits peak humidity — again, why moisture testing happens on every job regardless of season. Demand stays high, especially through July before back-to-school schedules tighten everyone's calendar.
Often the best-kept secret of the year: lower humidity than summer, comfortable working temperatures, and scheduling opens up as the spring and summer rush clears out. A number of our Carmel and Fishers clients who plan ahead intentionally book fall installs for exactly these reasons.
An attached, heated garage can absolutely be coated in winter — the controlled environment matters more than the calendar month. The main planning point is cure time: since the garage stays closed during application and cure, it's worth mapping out any days you'll need vehicle access. Winter is also our lowest-demand season, so scheduling flexibility is at its highest.
Slab moisture, not air temperature, is the variable that actually causes coating failures — which is why our testing process is identical every month of the year. For most homeowners, booking around your own schedule is a more practical driver than chasing a “best” month.

An attached garage is one of the more climate-stable spaces in an Indiana home — it's why we're able to install year-round rather than being limited to a short weather window.
Whatever month you're planning around, the same moisture testing and diamond grinding process applies before a single coat goes down.
